Parliament of FBiH: HDZ BiH refuses to condemn secessionism in RS

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina condemned attacks on the constitutional and legal order of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is stated in the Resolution adopted by this House last night by a majority of votes, on the proposal of representatives of the Party of Democratic Action. The proposer stated that the Resolution comes after decisions of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska that attack the constitutional and legal order by ordering the transfer of certain state powers to that Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity.

The HDZ-HNS caucus did not vote for the Resolution, explaining that not all parliamentary parties participated in its preparation, and that the Resolution goes beyond the constitutional framework of the Federation, i.e., the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The HDZ caucus also objected that its proposed resolution was not even included in the agenda of this session. Therefore, it proposed conclusions that also did not receive a majority of votes from representatives, and one of these conclusions called on all relevant political actors to respect the rulings of both the Constitutional Court of BiH and the European Court of Human Rights, and to continue negotiations on amendments to the Election Law of BiH.

After concluding this agenda item, the House of Representatives rejected a proposal by representative Sanela Prašović Gadžo (SBB) that the Federal government redirect this year's budget amount for its own promotion, as the said representative stated, to the treatment of children suffering from cancer.
