BiH Parliament to discuss Pelješac Bridge today

The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is expected to discuss the Report on activities related to the construction of the Pelješac Bridge today.

The author of this report, as well as the one concerning the construction of the Sava bridge, will be the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH, represented by Minister Ismir Jusko personally, based on the initiative of Democratic Front MP Hanka Vajzović for the Council of Ministers of BiH to provide the House of Representatives with information on activities related to the construction of the Pelješac Bridge and developments concerning the construction of the Sava bridge near Svilaj, which was accepted by the House of Representatives at its session on July 5.

The Minister of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ismir Jusko, stated on Tuesday that at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH on Thursday, he will present a report on the stance of the relevant ministry regarding Croatia's intention to build the Pelješac Bridge.

Jusko said that the issue of the Pelješac Bridge is being raised for the first time in ten years and that he will follow the instructions of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in this regard.

- In the past 14 months of my mandate, I have not signed anything related to this. According to available information, in the past ten years, no minister has signed any document related to the Pelješac Bridge - he told reporters in Sarajevo.

Also on the agenda for the second reading is the Bill amending the Law on Civil Service in BiH Institutions, with MP Maja Gasal Vražalica, the proposer, citing the recommendations of the BiH Ombudsman for Human Rights regarding the manner and conditions of using annual leave for civil servants and employees in ministries and other administrative bodies, services, bodies, and institutions of the Council of Ministers of BiH as reasons for its adoption.
