(Patria) - Para swimmer Ismail Barlov, who recently placed fourth at the World Para Swimming Championships, spent time today with the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team.
Captain Edin Džeko gave Barlov a jersey, and this visit held special significance as Ismail celebrated his 13th birthday today.
"Today, together with the other national team members, I had the honor of meeting our Ismail Barlov, who a few weeks ago placed fourth at the World Swimming Championships. Ismail is celebrating his 13th birthday today and honored us with his visit, and he also had a special message for us:
'Even though it seems the qualifiers are lost, as long as you believe in miracles, miracles do happen,' Ismail told us.
And he is living proof that miracles are possible if you believe enough, and we believe and will give our all to try to achieve them.
Thank you, Ismail, for your support, which means a lot to us, and we will continue to support you in your 'battles'!
Ismail has made us proud, and we are proud that, just like him, we wear the same crest on our chests and represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in the world. Happy birthday, dear Ismail," Džeko wrote on social media.
