Pape and several players arrive, fans greet them with applause

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team arrived at Sarajevo Airport where they were greeted with applause by fans. The team was led by coach Safet Sušić, followed by players and coaching staff, reports Patria. More than a hundred fans, family members and friends gathered in front of the airport.

The big crowd at the airport was mostly caused by journalists who wanted to get statements from those who arrived in Sarajevo today. Coach Safet Sušić after landing said he did not expect such a welcome, but that they did not plan to stay this short in Brazil.

- We had other goals, but we did not achieve them. We really did not want to stay this short in Brazil, we had the quality to go further - said the coach.

When asked by journalists to go back 12 days and whether he would change anything, the coach said he is not thinking about it at the moment, but that he thinks he would not change anything. Also, the popular Pape stated that he does not know anything about whether he will eventually remain in the position of coach of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Among the players who arrived were Edin Džeko, Toni Šunjić, Avdija Vršajević, Asmir Avdukić and the entire coaching staff. The other players went to their respective clubs where preparations and club obligations await them, reports NAP.

We remind you, the Bosnian Dragons played at the World Cup for the first time in the country's history. Of the three matches played, we lost two with minimal defeats against Argentina and Nigeria, while the third match against Iran ended 3:1 in favor of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Pape did not expect such a welcome

Bosnian national team player who left a positive impression at the World Cup matches, Toni Šunjić, said that it is true they could have played better, but that they should not be disappointed with what they achieved.

- Honestly, since you are asking me, I would like coach Safet Sušić to remain on the bench of the Bosnian team - said Šunjić.
