Pope Francis: Željko Komšić is a good person

(Patria) - "He is a good person", this is how Pope Francis defined Komšić, SIR reports, at the end of this morning's audience held for him and his entourage, whose private conversation lasted 35 minutes.

We remind you that Chairman Komšić and the Holy Father had a private conversation in the Apostolic Palace, during which Komšić informed Pope Francis about the latest developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In a cordial conversation, Komšić and Pope Francis also touched upon the problems facing Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily the emigration of people from the entire region, as well as the challenges of modern times. They specifically discussed the importance of preserving universal values in their private conversation.

Upon completion of the visit to the Palace, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented Pope Francis with a gift, which was a valuable edition of the book "Bosnian Kingdom", as well as a signet ring of a Bosnian ruler from Donja Zgošća near Kakanj.

After the meeting with Pope Francis, Željko Komšić also met with Archbishop Paul Gallagher, the Vatican's Secretary for Relations with States. During the conversation with Komšić, the Archbishop emphasized the Vatican's role in recognizing Bosnia and Herzegovina as an independent state, as well as the great support they continue to provide to an independent and sovereign Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Archbishop Gallagher also inquired about the security and political situation in BiH, as well as the attitude of neighboring and other countries towards Bosnia and Herzegovina and the crisis in BiH.
