Pope Francis told Čović to greet Izetbegović and Ivanić: I will pray for the future of BiH

Pope Francis received the Chairman of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović today, telling him that he learned a lot during his visit to Sarajevo on June 6, 2015, announced Vatican Radio, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

He particularly referred to the suffering of the people, forgiveness and seeking forgiveness, working together and engaging in dialogue.

Also, the Pope asked Čović to convey greetings to the other two members of the BiH Presidency, as well as to the young people in BiH.

- Young people are the future of your homeland - said Pope Francis.

Furthermore, Pope Francis promised to pray to God to bless all of us, our lives, our homes, our families, our children, and the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The visit to Pope Francis included representatives of the state and church committees, led by Čović and the President of the Organizing Committee for the reception of His Holiness Pope Francis, Cardinal Vinko Puljić. The delegation numbered about 50 members from the social, political, and public life of BiH who flew from Mostar airport to the Vatican this morning.
