Veto of the Bosniak Club on disputed laws of the RS Council of Peoples falls

(Patria) - At the session of the Council of Peoples of the Republika Srpska, no agreement was reached regarding the RS Election Law and the Law on Referendum and Citizens' Initiative, the Council of Peoples of the RS announced.

Only four delegates from the Bosniak Club voted for the veto.

Earlier, it was speculated that Milorad Dodik would prevent the laws from entering into force through the Council of Peoples and later the Constitutional Court of the RS. Today, this will prove to be a false claim, but Dodik, with his statement that the RS could find itself in the situation of Serbs from northern Kosovo, sent a message that there is nothing of the previously adopted laws in the RS Council of Peoples.

The items have been forwarded to the Joint Commission of the National Assembly of the RS and the Council of Peoples of the RS for harmonization of laws, regulations and acts, the statement said.
