Palestinian community in BiH: Attempts to equate victim and aggressor, UN to stop Israel's aggression

(Patria) - The Palestinian community in Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued a statement regarding the brutal invasion by Israeli occupying forces.

"We are witnessing the International Community and Western countries, including the European Union, by supporting the continuation of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, are helping the Israeli occupier to intensify brutal massacres against defenseless Palestinian civilians, including children, women, journalists, and medical personnel, with impunity.

We strongly condemn the Israeli occupier's decision to cut off basic necessities for Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip, including water, electricity, food, medical supplies, and fuel, which is a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and Israel's obligations as an occupying power.

We call on the media to distance themselves from spreading fake news and propaganda of the Israeli occupying army, whose goal is to equate the victim and the aggressor, because for 75 years, in front of the eyes of the whole world, the Israeli occupying army has been carrying out the brutal extermination of the Palestinian people, by seizing land, killing women and children, journalists, health workers, and humanitarians.

We call on the Security Council, the UN Secretary-General, and all member states to fulfill their obligations under the UN Charter and international law, and to immediately stop this aggression and hold the aggressor force, Israel, accountable for all committed atrocities.

The Palestinian people will not back down from defending their rights and the right to their independent, sovereign state," the statement said.
