Story about overthrowing the USK Government falls through: DF also strengthens current parliamentary majority

(Patria) - The Assembly of the Una-Sana Canton (USK) dismissed Mehmed Ćenanović (SDA) from the position of Minister of Agriculture, Water Management, and Forestry at today's extraordinary session in Bihać.

Edvin Alijanović (DF) was appointed to this position. For both of these decisions, proposed by the Prime Minister of USK Nijaz Hušić, 18 deputies voted, while 12 were absent.

Prime Minister Hušić stated on this occasion that the USK Government remains focused on the work and stability of the canton.

Representatives of the coalition stated that the goal is to strengthen the parliamentary majority and ensure political stability at a time when USK is often at the center of political events in BiH.

- The USK Government is committed and focused on work. At today's session, we are demonstrating these aspirations and will not dwell on the causes that led to the current situation.

SDA, which has the greatest potential in this coalition, decided to strengthen the parliamentary majority and give additional impetus to the Government with the entry of the new minister - said Hušić.

The now former minister Ćenanović was praised for his commitment and results.

It was also stated that the Ministry he managed was assessed as one of the most efficient in FBiH, and his withdrawal was assessed as a political move in the interest of the citizens.

The Commission for Elections and Appointments of the USK Assembly took a short break before making a final decision.

After that, it gave a positive opinion on the proposal to appoint Edvin Alijanović, thus removing all doubts about the possible overthrow of the current USK Government.

The newly appointed minister Alijanović took the solemn oath before the Assembly, thus formally taking office.

Deputies of the People's European Alliance (NES) and the Party of BiH did not attend today's extraordinary session of the USK Assembly.
