Precipitation in Herzegovina caused floods, rain to weaken by end of day

(Patria) - Heavy rain caused problems for residents of the Neretva valley, especially in Čapljina and, on the Croatian side, in Metković.

Basements of family homes and agricultural areas have been flooded.

Many problems were also recorded in the Neum area, reported Čapljnski portal. It is stated that the precipitation caused difficulties on the roads and that numerous facilities in that municipality were flooded.

The football match between "Široki Brijeg" and "Željezničar" in Čitluk was also cancelled because the pitch was completely flooded.

Heavy rain is falling across Herzegovina, which will gradually weaken and stop this evening.

The portal "BHMeteo.ba" reports that more and more sand is arriving from North Africa, so it is "dirty rain".
