Number of users to whom the FBiH Government refunds part of contributions after the minimum wage increase is declining

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, adopted a Decision establishing the final list of beneficiaries of financial assistance for private employers, crafts and other self-employed activities for May 2025 and the amount of allocated funds under the Decree on measures of financial assistance to private employers, crafts and other self-employed activities in the Federation of BiH with the aim of maintaining existing jobs for 2025.

An integral part of the final list is also the list of beneficiaries whose objection to the Decision on establishing the final list of beneficiaries of financial assistance for April 2025 was accepted.

Total funds for the implementation of this decision in the amount of 8,428,600 KM are secured in the Budget of the Federation of BiH for the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and are allocated to 12,194 beneficiaries. Part of these funds in the amount of 536,650 KM is allocated to 462 beneficiaries whose objection to the Decision on establishing the final list of beneficiaries of financial assistance for April 2025 was accepted.

In translation, this means that the number of beneficiaries has decreased, and such a trend has been recorded from month to month. According to information available to Patria, some employers are under constant checks by the Tax Administration and due to imposed sanctions, they do not meet the conditions for refund.

The final list of beneficiaries of financial assistance will be published on the websites of the Government of the Federation of BiH and the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts.

The transfer of financial assistance funds to the transaction accounts of beneficiaries will be carried out by Union Bank in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts based on this decision.

The Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH and Union Bank are responsible for the implementation of the Decision, each within its competence and obligations in accordance with the Decree.

For example, for the month of April, there were fewer than 12,000 beneficiaries, but subsequently, an objection for 462 beneficiaries was accepted.

Total funds for the implementation of this decision in the amount of 8,419,950 KM are secured in the Budget of the Federation of BiH for the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and are allocated to 12,398 beneficiaries. Part of these funds in the amount of 312,650 KM is allocated to 469 beneficiaries whose objection to the Decision on establishing the final list of beneficiaries of financial assistance for March 2025 was accepted.

Incidentally, the FBiH Government allocated 100 million KM for this purpose, and in the first three months alone, it had spent more than 20 million KM, after which the number of beneficiaries began to decline, and the monthly amount for May was less than 8 million KM.
