Cooperation with Turkish Airlines Officialized: FK Sarajevo in the Company of Giants like Barça, United...

FK Sarajevo has enabled an extraordinary event in BiH for all its fans and sympathizers today, reports the Patria News Agency.

Namely, fans could watch today's press conference, where the official signing of the contract between the Bordo club and Turkish Airlines was held, live, via the official YouTube channel of FK Sarajevo.

Edis Kusturica, president of Football Club Sarajevo, stated that this is certainly one of the most significant historical moments for FK Sarajevo, of which everyone is proud.

- Besides being a sporting event, for me this is also a business event, through which we have sent a message to everyone that BiH is not a black hole and that with quality ideas, we can find business partners and friends from outside BiH. Having Turkish Airlines as a partner is a huge recognition and obligation for FK Sarajevo. It is well known that Turkish Airlines goes with the best, and if that is the case, then we are honored by it – said Kusturica.

He added that he is convinced that they are at the beginning of an exciting journey and that he knows it will last for many more years, because they have set great goals for themselves.

- And for that, we need quality partners. I sincerely hope that this will be a message to other companies from Turkey and the world to become part of the Bordo team, and to invest in other sectors in BiH as well – added Kusturica.

Incidentally, over 1,000 people watched the live broadcast of the press conference, and Turkish Airlines, among other things, also sponsors giants like Barcelona, Manchester United, and Borussia Dortmund.

The Director of Turkish Airlines (THY) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ahmet Salih Kansu, emphasized that he is very happy about this contract.

- We are especially pleased because we have the opportunity to sign an agreement with a club from the Balkans. We are one of the airlines that launched the first flights to Sarajevo. Initially, we had only three flights a week, but as the market developed, we increased the number of flights. In winter, we fly 14 times a week to Sarajevo, and in summer, 18 times a week. On this occasion, I want to point out that in the summer, we have the most flights to Sarajevo, more than any other company – stated Kansu.

He added that everyone can see that Turkish Airlines has been contributing a lot to sports in recent years.

- As for the Balkans or the countries of former Yugoslavia, we know that these countries have a great history in sports, not only in basketball but also in football. We have been sponsoring the SFF and the Sarajevo Business Forum for years. We are convinced that the contract with FK Sarajevo will open up cooperation with other entities in BiH. As the representation of Turkish Airlines, we are satisfied with the partnership with Sarajevo – added Kansu.
