This should attract investors: See which eight municipalities in FBiH are introducing the BFC SEE certificate

The municipality of Visoko has started activities to introduce the BFC SEE certificate, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria. It is a certificate awarded to municipalities with a favorable business environment, which should attract new foreign investors.

The certification program for municipalities with a favorable business environment was designed and launched by the National Alliance for Local Economic Development NALED in Serbia in 2007. Two years ago, the project was expanded to Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Macedonia. The agreement on forming the Regional Network for a Favorable Business Environment was signed in September 2013 in Opatija, and since then it has been rapidly expanding throughout the region.

On the path to certification, municipalities need to meet 12 criteria and more than 80 sub-criteria, which involve improving procedures, reducing bureaucracy, and obtaining all documents and data necessary for businesses and potential investors in planning operations and making investment decisions.

For investors looking to relocate or expand their business to Southeast Europe, the BFC SEE serves as a guarantee that the municipality has a favorable climate for investment.

The municipalities from FBiH that have so far entered the process of introducing the BFC SEE certificate are Bosanska Krupa, Goražde, Konjic, Livno, Prozor-Rama, Tešanj, Visoko, Žepče, and the city of Bihać, writes Patria.
