Open letter to Kavazović: Who allows SDA in Visoko to abuse the Islamic Community

(Patria) - An open letter has been sent to Reis-ul-ulema Husein Kavazović with the aim of finding out who allows the SDA in Visoko to abuse the Islamic Community.

"Dear and respected Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein ef. Kavazović,

We are writing this letter to you, appalled by the events and matters occurring within the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, specifically the Majlis of the Islamic Community Visoko.

Yesterday, September 19, 2020, a pre-election rally of the Party of Democratic Action, candidate for mayor of Visoko Mirza Ganić, and numerous candidates for the Visoko City Council was held in the village of Kološići near Visoko, in the courtyard of the aforementioned mosque. All these claims are confirmed by the photograph we are sending you as an attachment to this letter.

We ask ourselves, dear efendija Kavazović, who allowed the imam of the mosque in Kološići, Adnan Muratović, to permit a rally of a political party in the courtyard, and to attend and lobby for SDA members?

We ask ourselves, dear efendija Kavazović, does an efendija who is an employee of the Islamic Community in BiH know about the Decision of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community made on August 28, 2002, which states:

1. The Islamic Community does not promote any political party, and holders of religious authority within the Islamic Community cannot hold any political office. An imam is one of the holders of religious authority within the Islamic Community, so in accordance with the aforementioned Decision, he cannot simultaneously be an imam and hold a political office. One must choose one or the other field of activity.

We ask ourselves, dear efendija Kavazović, does Islam permit such scandals and outbursts, or is the popular saying true that true Muslims are in the SDA, and that you cannot be a Muslim if you are not with the Party of Democratic Action?

We ask ourselves, dear efendija Kavazović, do we contribute our money to the Islamic Community so that imams can promote the SDA in mosques? We ask ourselves, dear efendija Kavazović, are you a proponent of such actions and will you sanction this imam?
