
(Patria) - The Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton and the Health Insurance Fund of Sarajevo Canton are providing approximately 15,000 free screenings for the citizens of Sarajevo Canton this year as part of the free preventive screening campaign for 2025, with the aim of early detection of cancer and strengthening preventive healthcare.
This year, melanoma screening is also available, in addition to the existing ones:
Cervical cancer: 3,500 screenings
Breast cancer: 4,300 screenings
Colorectal cancer: 2,000 screenings
Lung cancer: 1,400 screenings
Prostate cancer: 2,800 screenings
Melanoma: 900 screenings.
Sarajevo Canton follows the standards of the most developed European health systems.
A simplified digital procedure – paperless, no waiting – allows citizens to apply quickly and without administrative obstacles, with the note that they must have a valid health insurance card.
The Minister of Health of Sarajevo Canton, Enis Hasanović, invites all citizens to apply and take care of their health in a timely manner.

"Timely prevention means earlier detection. One screening done on time can mean a saved life," the Ministry of Health stated.
