Gardening House Opened in Ilidža

ILIDŽA, (Patria) - The reconstruction, renovation, restoration, and extension of the Gardening Building on Hrasnička Street has been completed. The completion of the works was officially marked by the cutting of the ribbon on September 25, 2019, by the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Prof. Dr. Senaid Memić, Assistant Mayor for Investments and Development, Mirsad Čaušević, and the director of the company "Neimari", Ramiz Mulaomerović, which was also the contractor. 659,420.97 KM was allocated from the budget of Ilidža Municipality for this purpose.

"The building in the park next to Hrasnička Street is owned by the Municipality of Ilidža. After assessing its structural condition and functional possibilities, we secured budget funds and initiated the procedures for reconstruction, restoration, and renovation in order to preserve it and put it into function. Previously, project-technical documentation was prepared, and then after the adoption of the Ilidža Municipality Budget, which provided funds for the reconstruction of the building, the public procurement procedure, selection of the contractor, and supervision over the execution were carried out, and finally, the project was implemented. The building is not a national monument, but rather part of the protected area of the natural monument 'Vrelo Bosne'. It is part of the green area of the former complex 'Banja – Ilidža', which, along with its ecological, dendrological, cultural-historical, aesthetic, and spatial-landscape and ambient value, together with the architectural buildings – hotels built in the Austro-Hungarian period, has the significance of integral heritage," said Memić.

In the process of issuing a building permit, consent for the Main Project was obtained from the Cantonal Institute for the Protection of Cultural, Historical, and Natural Heritage of Sarajevo. The building has not been in use or occupied since 1995. Given that it has been converted from a residential to a business facility through restoration, its final function will be determined after the public procurement procedure for the selection of the end-user is completed.
