EEML Summer School Opens in Sarajevo: Komšić Says – Knowledge Is Our Chance

(Patria) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić addressed the opening of the Eastern European Machine Learning (EEML) summer school in Sarajevo

"I am particularly pleased that this prestigious educational programme, which brings together more than 350 participants from over 50 countries around the world, after several significant destinations in the region, comes to Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time.

Holding the EEML school right here, in Sarajevo, is a kind of recognition for our country and its growing potential in the fields of science, technology and education. Your presence sends a strong message of support for the development of the scientific and research environment, not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also in the wider Eastern European context.

Artificial intelligence represents one of the key development points of modern society. For Bosnia and Herzegovina, this is an opportunity to build a sustainable and competitive future through knowledge and innovation. In this sense, events like this go beyond academic exchange – they shape new generations of leaders and experts who will create the world of tomorrow," said Komšić.

He added that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country rich in talented, educated and creative young people.

"That is precisely why initiatives like this provide a chance to keep pace with global trends and build a more modern, smarter and more resilient society.
