Reconstructed park in Čobanija opened

Mayor of Centar Municipality Dževad Bećirević and Director of South European Investment Company Hospitality (SEIC) Enes Kazazić, in the presence of Director of KJKP "Park" Safet Baltić and gathered citizens, opened the reconstructed children's park in Čobanija on Wednesday, where it was located even before the construction of the hotel "Residence Inn by Marriot" began, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The reconstruction of the park was financed by SEIC Hospitality, with an investment of nearly 60,000 KM.

- Based on the contract for the use of public space concluded with the Centar Municipality, we have returned this park to its intended purpose. We have strived to make it better than before. Experts designed the park, and we did not spare on the quality of materials and furnishings, and I think children will enjoy playing here. We thank Mayor Bećirević and the Municipality for their availability in bringing this project to completion - said Kazazić.

Mayor Bećirević emphasized that the renovated park in Čobanija is one of the most beautiful in the city center.

- When the SEIC company started building the hotel, they had to close this park to secure the construction site. According to the contract we had with them, they had to return the park to its intended purpose upon completion of the work. I am happy that the park is in this condition today and that it was built according to all European standards regarding safety and everything else. This also proves that our cooperation with SEIC is very good and that they are serious investors - emphasized Bećirević.

Director Safet Baltić said that the employees of the "Park" company will do everything to ensure that this space intended for rest and play remains in this condition in the future.

- Residents of this part of Sarajevo now have a well-maintained location where they can bring their children and relax. I hope the citizens will take care of the park and I appeal to preserve such areas from destruction - emphasized Baltić.
