Physical Medicine Center Opened

The Center for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Stari Grad was opened today in the Logavina Local Community, and the space was adapted and equipped thanks to the cooperation of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo and the Public Institution Health Center KS, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The need for such a Center arose in the interest of quality healthcare that the citizens of this municipality will use.
Prim. Dr. Jasminka Bašić, Head of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Stari Grad, is satisfied with the new premises.

- The Center meets the necessary conditions and, most importantly, has access and natural light that we did not have in the old space. Patients have already been informed, they know about the new location, and we expect a new influx of patients - Bašić explains, adding that prevention is still the most important thing and that this is rehabilitation in the community.

Within the Stari Grad Health Center, there was already one such Center, located near the Kuwait Embassy, across from Vijećnica. Given that it was not adequate for these purposes and did not have proper access, and due to large crowds, the need for another Center for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation arose. By putting this center in the Logavina House of Culture into operation, the crowds will be significantly reduced, and citizens will be provided with a more adequate and much better service. The renovation work included the construction of a new entrance, adaptation of the premises, and complete refurbishment.
The ceremonial opening was attended by representatives of the cantonal and federal ministries of health, the mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, the general director of the Public Institution Health Center KS Dženana Tanović, directors of other health centers, representatives of pharmaceutical companies...
