Severance pay can only be paid by the FBiH Parliament at 13,000 KM, we did not request it from the BiH Parliament

SBB MPs in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Fehim Škaljić and Mirsad Đonlagić, have issued a denial regarding the statement made to Patria by Mehmed Bradarić, a member of the Administrative Committee.

Bradarić confirmed to Patria that Škaljić and Đonlagić had qualified for retirement before entering the state Parliament, and that they should have applied for retirement upon meeting the conditions, not now, when the possibility of collecting 30,000 KM from the state budget has opened up.

- That is dishonest. They knew that in the state Parliament, one receives six average salaries, and that is around 30,000 KM. That is simple math – says Bradarić.

Regarding the information published in your esteemed media, concerning the alleged request for payment of 30,000 KM, which we have never submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, we kindly ask you to publish the following correction of statements related to our retirement and the rights arising from that status:

We retired based on meeting the conditions of 40 years of service and 65 years of age. We did this before obtaining the status of professional representatives in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

In this regard, our last employer was the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are exercising this right as of December 9, 2014, and it is clear that only the last employer, i.e., the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, can pay us severance pay, in the amount of approx. 13,000 KM.

It is entirely clear that there is no request from us for a payment of 30,000 KM, because our rights have already been settled at the federal level. Therefore, we consider insinuations and attacks on our dignity truly unnecessary, if only because both we and SBB have repeatedly shown and legally initiated the abolition of privileges for politicians, and in this regard, we will very soon propose several legal initiatives, states the denial sent by Škaljić and Đonlagić.
