Dušanka Majkić's severance pay larger than 160 pensions in Republika Srpska

The money that SNSD representative in the BiH Parliament Dušanka Majkić took as severance pay for her formal retirement is enough for a pensioner in Republika Srpska to receive a pension for more than 13 years, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

MP Majkić collected 28,000 KM as severance pay after retiring, even though her retirement was only formal because she returned to the parliamentary benches after just two days.

As the lowest pension in Republika Srpska, the BiH entity where Majkić comes from, is only 172 KM, it is clear that Majkić's severance pay was enough for a pensioner in RS to receive a pension for even more than 13 years.

Majkić told reporters that she does not believe she did anything wrong by collecting the severance pay, because the severance pay of six parliamentary salaries is something she is entitled to by law. In addition, she revealed that she is not the only one and that a large number of her colleagues have received or will receive the same severance pay, writes NAP.
