Identity of militant beheading hostages revealed

The masked Islamic State militant responsible for beheading Western hostages has finally been identified. BBC reveals it is Mohammed Emwazi, a Briton from West London who has been known to British security services for years. However, they did not want to reveal this to the public as it would have disrupted their plans, reports the Patria News Agency.

Emwazi first came into the public spotlight in August when he executed American journalist James Foley. He subsequently executed American journalist Steven Sotloff, British aid worker and Croatian son-in-law David Haines, British taxi driver Alan Henning, aid worker Abdul-Rahman Kassig, and last appeared before the execution of Japanese hostages Haruna Yukawa and Kenji Goto.

Emwazi had been under the radar of British services for years, but he evaded them in 2006 when he traveled to Somalia, and later to Tanzania. He claimed he was going on safari, but MI5 was convinced he had 'joined' the militant group al-Shabab. Agents detained Emwazi in Amsterdam, but they could not extract anything from him. The young terrorist even filed a complaint against the agents for mistreatment afterwards.

In the meantime, he returned home to England, and only went to Syria in 2012.

The executioner is of Kuwaiti origin, and The Washington Post found his childhood friend immediately after the identification.

"I knew it was him immediately. We were like brothers. Yes, I am one hundred percent sure it is him..."

Enwazi grew up in Queen's Park, comes from a wealthy family, and graduated in computer science from the University of Westminster with excellent grades.
