Session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly Cancelled, Several MPs Have Coronavirus Symptoms

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The continuation of the 46th session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, which was supposed to be held today, has been postponed by a decision of the Assembly Collegium.

As confirmed to Patria, the reason for this is that several MPs have symptoms of coronavirus. Although there were proposals to hold the session online, some members of the Collegium were not in favor of that option.

The 47th session is scheduled for December 28, which will include the Decision on Temporary Financing of the Sarajevo Canton for the period January-March 2022, given that the Canton's Budget will not be adopted by the end of the year.

The same situation occurred at the end of 2020, and the budget for the current year was adopted at the beginning of February 2021.

Thus, it could happen that the MPs of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly spend the last days of 2021 in session, considering several proposed legal solutions.
