(Patria) - Following tensions during and after the press conference of the members of the BiH Presidency with NATO chief Mark Rutte, the extraordinary session of the BiH Presidency, which was supposed to discuss the Budget of BiH institutions for 2025, has been postponed.
During the press conference, Željka Cvijanović spoke first, followed by Denis Bećirović, then Željko Komšić. Rutte then addressed the attendees, after which Cvijanović again felt the need to emphasize certain points.
Incidentally, during his address, Komšić pointed out that 2 percent of GDP for defense was not allocated in the Draft Budget.
Without a formal budget proposal sent to Parliament by the BiH Presidency, it will not be possible to adopt the budget of BiH institutions.
Today, the session of the Finance and Budget Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina was cancelled due to a lack of quorum.
Cvijanović told the media that Komšić and Bećirović pointed out the fact that the previous extraordinary session was not convened at their request. They requested an extraordinary session due to attacks on the constitutional order.
In his address to the media, Bećirović confirmed that they had sent a request for an extraordinary session on March 4th, which Cvijanović did not convene, and that she wanted to vote on the Budget extraordinarily.
