Traffic Disrupted, Snow Falling in Northern and Northwestern BiH

Due to packed snow and ice on the road, traffic is moving with difficulty this morning. In the wider area of Romanija, as well as on the routes Olovo-Kladanj,  Bihać-Bosanski Petrovac, Travnik-Donji Vakuf, Bugojno-Kupres, Prozor-Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje,  the use of chains is mandatory for freight vehicles, BIHAMK reported, as carried by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- On other roads leading over mountain passes, the use of chains is recommended for freight vehicles.  Due to snow and strong wind, traffic is difficult in western and southwestern Bosnia. Road maintenance crews are in the field and are intervening on all sections, but the snow that continues to fall heavily is hindering their work.

At border crossings, waiting times are no longer than 15 minutes. Due to winter driving conditions in Croatia, traffic for vehicles over 7.5 tons has been suspended at the Izačić border crossing.
