(Patria) - In most of Bosnia and Herzegovina, traffic is on wet or damp roads, and we warn of frequent landslides and advise more cautious driving. In some sections in valleys, as well as over mountain passes, fog and low clouds are reducing visibility in places.
In places where works are being carried out, longer queues of vehicles in both directions are possible, which extends travel time. We ask drivers to plan their journeys in accordance with road conditions, but also to respect all traffic regulations.
On the Tuzla-Bijeljina main road (Banj Brdo), passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons are driving in one lane, alternating, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.
Movement of all vehicles over the bridge on the Dobro Polje-Miljevina main road is prohibited. Vehicles with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons can use the roads over Grepak or Kalinovik (there is 19 km of macadam road), while trucks must drive via Rogatica and Ustipraca.
Due to regular maintenance of the 1. mart tunnel on the A-1 motorway, the Lašva-Zenica direction has been closed since today, and vehicles are driving in both directions on the opposite side of the motorway until the works are completed.
Due to road repair works on the Kakanj-Lašva section of the A-1 motorway, 3 km of the left side of the motorway is closed. During the works, vehicles are directed in both directions on the right side, Lašva-Kakanj direction.
Due to necessary works on the Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi and Sarajevo zapad-Lepenica sections of the A-1 motorway, traffic has been redirected to the overtaking lane.
Due to expansion joint repair works on the bridge on the Konjic-Tarčin main road (before the Bradina tunnel), traffic has been redirected from the driving lane to the overtaking lane.
On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.
Traffic frequency is increased at the exits from Bosnia and Herzegovina at border crossings in the north, northwest, and west of our country, but passenger vehicle waiting times are currently not longer than 30 minutes.
Due to passenger registration under the new EU entry/exit system (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer waiting times at border crossings are possible.
The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. From December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing will be open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
