Father Mujo Nadarević for NAP: Samed released from Turkish custody, heading to BiH

BiH student Samed Nadarević, after five months in detention in Silivri, Turkey, was released yesterday and is heading to BiH, his father Mujo Nadarević told Patria.

- He is fine, I spoke with him. He is heading to BiH. We sent him money and now we expect him home - Mujo said with a trembling voice for NAP.

Turkish authorities arrested Samed along with thousands of Turkish citizens after the attempted military coup in the country in mid-July.

Nadarević, originally from Cazin, is an architecture student at the state university in Istanbul and a scholarship holder of the Turkish state, but he used an apartment owned by the organization of Fethullah Gulen, whom Turkish authorities believe stands behind the attempted military coup. According to information available to the BiH Consulate in Turkey, Nadarević was the only BiH citizen arrested after the failed military coup.

Father Mujo was devastated by his son's fate. In recent months, he had no information about what his son was charged with. He wrote to the BiH Presidency and the BiH judiciary, but received no response.
