I condemn ISIL's savagery and evil

Indeed, I must be honest, I thought they wouldn't execute him, because what could poor Tomo have done to the so-called "Islamic State" to be brutally executed like that?! Or, what is the state of Croatia, of which Tomo was a citizen, or Croats as a nation, to blame?!

Did they somehow offend the so-called "Islamic State" with any participation, usurpation, or coalition?! I highly doubt it, I simply don't believe it. However, poor Tomo has nothing to do with any of that. He was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Like every other Muslim executed so far, who are actually the primary targets of ISIL's abuse and existence. When they kill all the Muslims they have set out to kill, they will cease to exist. However, in the case of Tomislav Salopek, they "had to" keep their promise to show the world that they are serious in their sick and dangerous intentions. And Croatian diplomacy was powerless and inarticulate in securing the rescue of its citizen, although they did everything, unlike, for example, French diplomacy which a few days ago secured the return of its citizen from Yemen.

I truly feel sorry for Tomislav, as well as for all other innocent people who have fallen victim to that fanatical knife. I express my condolences to the Salopek family.

However, at one point I wondered, and I ask all readers to consider the following scenario: What if and what would happen if ISIL's production and management one fine day came before the eyes of the entire world public and said that it was all a "setup", like in Hollywood movies, that these people whose brutal deaths and murders were shown to the whole world - were not killed and that those recordings are not authentic, because they cannot do that due to Islam which prohibits the killing of innocent and captured people, and as proof of all this - to bring them out alive and well from some closed rooms or prisons into the light, and to finally say that they did all this to draw the world's attention to the injustice that is being done in the world (and) to Muslims, etc. But, "that's just a dream, the porcelain still rattles in the sideboard", said the poet Džemal, and the singer Dino sang.

And this is how the naive Muslim mind would actually think and hope for this, the naive Muslim, prone to conspiracy theories, would actually believe in something like this, who would say, in the sense: "I don't believe any of it, it's all a studio and all these Hollywood setups." There are indeed naive people who hold this opinion. Unfortunately.

In the context of the murder of Tomislav Salopek and all other executions, I believe that what ISIL's executioners did to poor Tomo and all other prisoners, they would more than certainly do to all Muslims who do not think with their heads and who do not support them.

You can imagine, then, what they would do to the author of this column if they caught him somewhere, not only because he is a Bosnian imam, which means: "innovator, sinner, heretic", etc., but also because he regularly addresses this issue in his writing and condemns ISIL's savagery and evil. You can't even imagine! His head, as well as the heads of many Bosnian imams, would hang from the minarets of Bosnian mosques. If only such people could get their hands on territories they look at and have designs on.

Therefore, it is very important in these relatively distant territories, countries, and states to recognize every such tendency and every cell (individual) that would express support for such an idea. That is why the action of the Macedonian police, which arrested the Skopje imam who cursed all those who do not support ISIL and its tewehhus – savagery during Ramadan in his prayers, is to be welcomed.

Therefore, it is very important that the BiH society also be extremely cautious and sensitive on this issue, meaning the state must react urgently and obligatorily as soon as and wherever this tendency is noticed and this support is felt. Tolerance towards this savagery must be zero.

We also see that in this overall spectacle of global religious fanaticism and savagery – the existence of an organized religious community, which promotes the central and moderate teachings of Islam, is of invaluable importance. Therefore, any tendency that seeks to destroy the IZ, as such, should be labeled as fanatical and akin to ISIL's concept.

So, gentlemen, if you don't want this kind of Islamic Community, then you want ISIL! There is no third option. Yes, the Islamic Community is not perfect, of course, there are things that need to be improved and fixed, but those are marginal issues. The very concept of such a religious community in our society and nation is more than necessary.

And at the very end, I want to say a few words about the da'is, who are quite evidently operating among our people. Ultimately, there are only two types of da'is: those who call for order and those who cause fesad (discord).

The first are those who, with their intention and knowledge, work to preserve faith among the people and who call for the preservation of the institutional saff, i.e., the Islamic Community, and the second are those who work without the knowledge and permission of the IZ and who very often and quite clearly speak against the IZ, which should be destroyed as such, along with the entire pattern and concept of Islamic tradition among Bosniaks. Such people cause unprecedented fesad, they are a precursor to ISIL and that concept, and towards those da'is and their followers, zero tolerance must be shown.

P.S. In the overall constellation, we witness a seemingly paradoxical situation, because we do not (any longer) look at someone's intentions, which may be correct, the Almighty God primarily looks at them and judges by them, and only in the Hereafter, and we are forced to look at and feel the consequences of someone's actions and beliefs and to guard against them, as from a venomous snake.
