(Patria) - The Institute for Research of Genocide Canada (IGC) reacted sharply to a new insolent statement by Croatian President Zoran Milanović, who said that "negotiations on BiH's entry into the EU will last longer than BiH was under the Turks".
"It is in vain, Zoran Milanović, that you try to humiliate the continuity of the state of BiH. Bosnia has a centuries-long tradition of encountering and mixing different civilizations and cultures that have synthesized into a specific Bosnian spirituality that cannot be found in Croatia.
That is why you do not understand Bosnia, that is why you commit violence against Bosnia. Precisely that specific Bosnian spirituality makes BiH a specific and indivisible state. It has helped it survive to this day.
You should know that Bosnia has witnessed for centuries that it is possible to live in peace with diversity, and that is what bothers you the most.
Just as patriots in and from Bosnia managed to resist the Greater Croatian destructive Leviathan, so today they will resist you and those like you who work against a European state whose social modus has been taken by the EU for its common existence.
Therefore, Milanović, count on those who will not give up their Bosnian state, its history, culture, tradition, language, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, political subjectivity, statehood and independence.
Your continuous anti-Bosnian campaign is condemned by all true friends of the proud Bosnian state. Bosnian peoples and citizens therefore despise you," the IGC statement, signed by director Emir Ramić, reads.
