STAYING ONLINE: KS Crisis Staff will not approve holding KS Assembly sessions in the hall

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - A proposal has been sent to the KS Ministry of Health Crisis Staff to allow KS Assembly sessions to be held in the hall while respecting epidemiological measures. 

The Chairman of the KS Assembly Elvedin Okerić, MP Haris Zahiragić, as well as the Provisional Committee of SDP BiH Sarajevo have sent such a request twice already. 

As confirmed to Patria by the Minister of Health of KS, Haris Vranić, who heads the KS Crisis Staff, there will be no easing of measures. 

He even left open the possibility of tightening epidemiological measures. Regarding the conduct of classes and possible changes, Vranić said that the epidemiological situation is being monitored. 

The Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health has adopted new orders and recommendations, which were also adopted by the FBiH Government at its session on February 11, and which came into force on February 12. 

These orders instructed the Crisis Staffs of cantonal ministries of health to, based on the assessment of the COVID-19 epidemiological situation and with the hygienic-epidemiological recommendations of the cantonal public health institutes, issue orders for holding sessions and working bodies of cantonal legislative bodies, as well as decision-making bodies in local self-government units (city, municipal councils, etc.) in the canton and municipalities. Precisely assessing the situation in KS, where the epidemiological picture has been worsening in the last few days and where the weekly incidence is still high, the Crisis Staff has maintained its earlier decisions not to allow KS Assembly sessions to be held indoors. 

Also, one of the orders is that Cantonal Crisis Staffs can adopt more restrictive, but not more liberal, measures compared to the orders of the Federal Crisis Staff.
