Engineering Chamber of the Federation of BiH to be Established

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Chamber of Commerce of FBiH informs civil, architectural, mechanical, traffic, electrical, IT, forestry, metallurgy, chemical, geological, mining, geodesy, agricultural and food technology engineers, as well as engineers of other profiles, that the Founding Assembly of the Engineering Chamber of the Federation of BiH will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020. The Founding Assembly will be held in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo, within the INN&TECH conference.

The idea of forming an Engineering Chamber has existed for a long time, and considering the opinions of numerous initiators, especially given that the engineering profession in BiH is unorganized and that jobs in spatial and urban planning, design, construction of facilities, and other areas significant for planning and construction, protection of general and individual interests in performing engineering activities, are not fully systematically regulated and there are many problems faced by the engineering profession.

In order to represent the engineering profession in a high-quality and successful manner, it is necessary to organize through an institution that has legality and legitimacy to represent all levels of government in BiH. Also, networking and cooperation at the regional level and using experience and knowledge to improve the engineering profession in BiH are necessary to bring the engineering profession in BiH to the position it holds in the world.

The goal is to have an Engineering Chamber whose main task will be to improve the work and status of the engineering profession, ensure continuous professional development of members, as well as participate in the creation of legislative regulations in cooperation with executive and legislative authorities, and other activities of interest to the engineering profession.
