A smile for good people: Aid arrives at the camp in Putovići

The camp in Putovići, about ten kilometres from Zenica, built 20 years ago to accommodate displaced persons, is today in very poor condition, but even as such, it is home to over 20 families, reports the Patria news agency.

A mother with seven children and no income, a mother with a sick child, 20 years of work experience and only 14 KM in child allowance… This is just part of the difficult story we encountered at the camp in Putovići.

After we first wrote about the camp, members of the UM "Ljubičica" organised a collection of aid for the most vulnerable in the camp. Today, the second round of aid for the vulnerable from the camp was delivered, including large quantities of clothing and footwear, food, hygiene products, and similar items. The children from the camp were overjoyed, and their smiles speak volumes about how good people have fulfilled their mission.

- We thank everyone who participated in the action and helped in any way. This is just the beginning; we will certainly visit the camp several more times - emphasised the members of UM "Ljubičica".
