Osmanović: The Homeland voted for the Law on Public Order because our amendments were accepted

Deputies of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska adopted today the Proposal of the Law on Public Order and Peace, which caused great discontent among the non-governmental sector and human rights associations, writes the news agency Patria.

Among other things, this law stipulates that social networks are treated as a public place, which is subject to criminal prosecution.

46 deputies voted for this law. Deputies of opposition parties left the session before the vote on this proposal. Among others, deputies of the coalition "The Homeland" voted for this law, and as Adil Osmanović explained, this was done because their amendments were accepted.

- We voted for the law because they accepted three very important amendments for returnees and improved the old Law on Public Order and Peace - said Osmanović.

Now reactions are expected from all those who warned that this law violates human rights and freedoms.
