Osman Mehmedagić Officially Suspected: Will He Have to Return Illegally Acquired Money!?

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - An investigation into the director of the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, Osman Mehmedagić, has been opened at the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

As we learn from investigative bodies, it concerns several counts of abuse for which the State Prosecutor's Office has established reasonable suspicion.

Much has been written and said about the matter in public for a long time, and now it is clear - Osman Mehmedagić is officially suspected.

We learn that the Prosecutor's Office suspects Mehmedagić of having acquired several hundred thousand KM in benefits for himself by forging a diploma and illegally holding positions in the OSA BiH, which require higher education.

If the Prosecutor's Office's reasonable suspicion is confirmed in the BiH Court, Mehmedagić will have to return all illegally acquired money and property to the state.

However, the Prosecutor's Office does not only suspect Mehmedagić of illegally acquired money, but also of illegally declaring the diploma a secret document, which is contrary to the provisions of the Law on Secret Data of BiH.

According to our findings, the State Prosecutor's Office will, in the coming period, examine the assets acquired by Osman Mehmedagić in the last few years, while illegally holding the position of OSA BiH director.
