OSCE in BiH on the occasion of the femicide case in Sarajevo: Promises, vows, and declarative commitment mean nothing

(Patria) - We are deeply saddened by the femicide that occurred yesterday in Sarajevo and express our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the victim, the OSCE announced.

"It is devastating that, after Gradačac, Zavidovići, Živinice, Bijeljina and other places where similar horrific crimes have occurred, today we must once again call for decisive action in preventing femicide in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This latest murder painfully reminds us that given promises, vows, and declarative commitment mean nothing without urgent and effective action.

The OSCE Mission in BiH once again calls on all levels of government in BiH to prioritize the prevention of and fight against gender-based violence and to respond urgently, effectively, and adequately," the statement said.
