(Patria) - The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina has welcomed the initiative called "Streets for Peace Project", launched by the youth of Srebrenica by proposing that street names be replaced with neutral, inclusive names.
"Such an approach to changing street names transcends political divisions and sets a strong example of reconciliation, cooperation and understanding, paving the way for a better future for all residents of Srebrenica.
The Mission stands ready to provide assistance to the competent authorities in Srebrenica in order to ensure citizen participation and transparency in the approach to the issue of street name changes," the OSCE said.
