Eight-hour rescue of a mountaineer on Prenj mountain

The rescue operation for an injured mountaineer on Prenj mountain lasted eight hours. The injured person was transported early Friday morning first to the hospital in Konjic and then to Sarajevo, confirmed for the Patria agency from the Mountain Rescue Service in Konjic, which led the entire operation.

"This was one of the most demanding operations for GSS Konjic recently," said GSS.

The station received the report of the accident at 4:30 PM, and the team was already in the field at 5:00 PM. Due to the inaccessible terrain and the time required to reach the injured person, the transport was slow and difficult! The operation lasted eight hours. Twelve members of GSS Konjic and one firefighter participated in the operation.

"It was a strenuous night for us, but we succeeded once again," say the satisfied members of the GSS station in Konjic.
