Eight new coronavirus cases in Sarajevo Canton, no deaths

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After analyzing 327 samples collected between September 19 and 24 this year, eight new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton.

Four of them, or 50 percent, belong to family clusters or contacts of previously ill individuals and have been in self-isolation since before.

In the past 24 hours, 22 people have recovered, so the number of active coronavirus infection cases is currently 229.

29 people are hospitalized in the Isolation Ward of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo in Podhrastovi.

Two patients were discharged from the Isolation Ward after hospitalization during the past 24 hours.

Fortunately, there have been no deaths since the last report, so the total number of deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection remains 81.

To date, 4,518 infected individuals have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, of whom 4,208 have recovered from COVID infection.

In the period from September 11 to 25 this year, 585 self-isolation orders were issued.
