AF BiH and EUFOR continue joint training and cooperation in 2024

(Patria) - A joint training and cooperation plan between the Armed Forces (AF) of BiH and EUFOR for 2024 was signed today at the premises of the Joint Staff of the AF BiH in Sarajevo.

The plan was signed by the Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the AF BiH, Major General Ivica Jerkić, and the Chief of Staff of EUFOR, Brigadier General Ovidiu Lungu.

Cooperation and support from EUFOR to the AF BiH is long-standing and part of its mission to build self-sustainable training capacities of the AF BiH that are aligned with international standards.

Through this training, the AF BiH continuously develop capabilities for working in an international environment, which is of exceptional importance for the defense system.

This event is a confirmation of the successful coordination and cooperation between EUFOR liaison and coordination officers and teams with officers and teams of the AF BiH, who have been working intensively in recent months on harmonizing the signed plan.

Experiences from previous years confirm that the AF BiH have a very flexible system and that, through joint effort, they can adapt to various challenges, and in cases such as the COVID-19 pandemic, they can reschedule certain events or change and adapt their content to new circumstances.

Following the signing of the training plan, mutual expectations were expressed that the results of training and cooperation for 2024 will yield the desired outcomes.
