AFBiH preparing tents for Lipa migrant camp

(Patria) - In accordance with the decision of the BiH Presidency, today, December 31, 2020, in the late afternoon hours, the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina began preparing military tents and will head to the "Lipa" camp tomorrow morning to set them up for the accommodation of displaced migrants.

The request for setting up military tents was submitted today by the BiH Ministry of Security to the BiH Ministry of Defense in the prescribed procedure, which forwarded the request for approval to the BiH Presidency, as the supreme commander. The BiH Presidency approved this request, and AFBiH units will be dispatched to the "Lipa" migrant camp, which was recently devastated by a fire, on January 1, 2021.

The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina will thus help endangered migrants, as well as currently alleviate the migrant crisis in BiH. As always, when various competent levels of government in the country are unable to respond promptly to various crises and threats, the AFBiH prove ready to responsibly perform any task assigned to them by the BiH Presidency, for the benefit of the citizens of the entire country.
