Armed Forces of BiH enriched with 283 young soldiers

By taking the solemn oath and signing the Contract on Military Service in the Armed Forces of BiH, the completion of training for the XVIII class of candidates for admission to military service in the AF BiH was solemnly marked today at the Basic Training Center of the Training and Doctrine Command, writes Patria.

A total of 283 young soldiers, including 31 women, took the oath and signed their first Contract on Military Service in the AF BiH. All of them will be assigned to commands and units of the AF BiH for service and further specialist training. The best results in the basic training of the XVIII class were achieved by: Grahovac Milica, Mijović Tomislav, Talanga Mario, and Gadžo Admir.

The candidates who successfully completed their training, took the oath, and signed their military contract were first congratulated by the Minister of Defense of BiH Marina Pendeš, Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the AF BiH Major General Senad Mašović, and Commander of the Basic Training Center Colonel Jasmin Ganić, who also addressed the attendees.

Minister of Defense of BiH Marina Pendeš emphasized, among other things, that the Ministry of Defense and the AF BiH are successfully transitioning towards NATO, and "the admission of young people into professional military service, as well as the rejuvenation of personnel, is at the very top of our priorities." She stressed that the Ministry of Defense of BiH, as before, will continue to build the system, initiate and implement necessary initiatives so that the Armed Forces are an institution where it is an honor to work and where a high level of all professional standards will be achieved."

Major General Senad Mašović congratulated the soldiers on taking the solemn oath and signing the professional contract for admission to professional military service in the AF BiH. "In that regard," emphasized General Mašović, "your training is not finished and final; upon arrival at your units to which you will be assigned, more complex, professional-specialist training awaits you, and significant individual work on your own professional development in service lies ahead."

Also present at the ceremony were Commander of the Support Command Major General Husein Tursunović and his Deputy Brigadier General Marko Stojčić, Commander of KoiD Brigadier Ilija Petrović, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH, and military-diplomatic representatives in BiH, as well as family members, relatives, and friends of the young soldiers, it was announced from the Ministry of Defense of BiH.
