Organizer of peaceful protests in Banja Luka Stefan Blagić fined 500 KM!

The president of the non-governmental organization “ReStart” Stefan Blagić has been fined 500 KM, after demanding the resignation of the RS Government during peaceful protests in Banja Luka last weekend, reports Patria agency.

“The pressure on our organization continues. And while we were called to the police for ‘talks’ almost every day seven days before the protests, after the protests, the president of our association received a fine of 500 convertible marks, even though the protests ended peacefully and without incident,” ReStart confirmed.

“A police state is evident here, and we only tell them: We will not stop, the fight has just begun!” stated the organization.

About a thousand citizens gathered in Banja Luka last weekend, demanding the resignation of the Government of Republika Srpska.
“ReStart” had previously requested that ministers in the RS Government have their car purchase fund limited to 50,000 KM, which was supported by 6,500 citizens with their signatures.

Stefan Blagić previously confirmed to Patria that they have not received any response from the Government, which means, he said, that the Government has ignored the request of 6,500 citizens. He added that the protests were intended to highlight the economic collapse in RS, the catastrophic position of workers, as well as employment based on party affiliation rather than expertise and competence.
