Indictment for Election Theft in the General Elections in Gradačac

(Patria) - The Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has filed an indictment against Matkić Zoran, aka “Zoka”, born in 1989 in Brčko, previously convicted, Vrhovac Joze, born in 1954 in Gradačac, Ćaćić Šime, born in 1956 in Gradačac, Katić Marko, born in 1965 in Gradačac, Hanić Emir, aka “Hana”, born in 1989 in Gradačac.

The accused are charged with, during the General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on October 7, 2018, in the area of Gradačac, at polling station 025A039 Liporašće, the accused Matkić as president and the other accused as members of the polling board, acting unlawfully and contrary to the regulations and procedures for voting at the polling station.

The accused are charged with falsifying the election results by adding a certain number of signatures and votes of voters who did not turn out to vote, thereby committing the criminal offense of Election Fraud under Article 154 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The prosecution will prove the allegations by calling 16 witnesses, one expert witness, and submitting approximately 30 pieces of evidence.

The indictment was forwarded for confirmation to the Court of BiH, which confirmed it.
