Indictment against three persons for war crimes in Hrasnica

(Patria) - Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes has filed an indictment against: Gadžo Senad, born in 1964 in Gacko, a citizen of BiH, Laličić Zaim, born in 1959 in Savino Selo, Serbia, a citizen of BiH, Hebib Sulje, born in 1968 in Gacko, a citizen of BiH.

The accused are charged with, during the war and armed conflict, as guards of the 1st Corps of the Army of RBiH, in detention facilities in the Hrasnica area, acting contrary to the provisions of the Geneva Conventions on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

They are charged with unlawful detention, murder, torture, abuse, degrading treatment, physical mutilation, and other severe forms of abuse against civilian victims of Serb nationality from the areas of Hrasnica, Butmir, and Sokolović Kolonija.

The mentioned crimes resulted in the deaths of six victims, whose deaths occurred as a consequence of severe beatings and abuse, as well as permanent physical and psychological injuries inflicted on a larger number of victims, who still suffer the consequences of the abuse today. The accused are charged with the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population under Article 142 of the Criminal Code of the SFRY.

The prosecution will prove the allegations of the indictment by calling more than 50 witnesses and submitting more than 200 pieces of material evidence.

The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
