
(Patria) - The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption
has filed an indictment against Kalaba Ljubomir, born in 1957 in Bugojno, a citizen of BiH and the Republic of Serbia.
The accused is charged with, acting in his capacity as an official in the institutions of BiH,
during his tenure as Director of the Veterinary Office of BiH, during 2020, without fulfilling legal conditions, issuing a binding Instruction on the temporary prohibition of issuing and signing veterinary health certificates to the aforementioned economic entity, thereby preventing the export and sale of already prepared beef to the Republic of Turkey in the amount of approximately 41 tons (41,785.78 kg), which consequently spoiled and was destroyed, thus causing material damage in the amount of 411,673.50 KM.
The accused is charged with committing the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority under
Article 220, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
