(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo has confirmed the indictment of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office against Emir Kremić, Nidžara Zahiragić Nezić, Belmira Hadžiabdić, Adnan Cerić, Nermin Abaz and Alen Hajdarević.
Emir Kremić and Nidžara Zahiragić Nezić are charged with the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority, while Belmira Hadžiabdić, Adnan Cerić, Alen Hajdarević and Nermin Abaz are charged with the criminal offense of forgery of documents.
Emir Kremić is accused that, as director of the Institute for Statistics of the Federation of BiH, together with the other defendants, who are employees of this Institute, he issued fictitious travel orders, presenting them as if they had been on official trips outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, although they did not go on such trips. The defendant Kremić is accused of issuing 7 fictitious orders for himself, while issuing 17 for his employees who are also defendants. In this way, they obtained illegal benefits and damaged the budget of the FBiH in an amount exceeding 10 thousand marks, only to return the money after an inspection by the budget inspector.
The prosecuting attorney proposed in the indictment that the court temporarily ban the defendant Emir Kremić from performing the director's function at the Institute for Statistics of the FBiH.
