Defendant in "Papyrus" case pleads guilty in plea agreement

Defendant Savo Manojlović (1967), charged in the case codenamed „Papirus“ for identity theft and production of false documents, in the presence of his attorney, pleaded guilty in a plea agreement for criminal offenses committed in the period from 2013 to 2016.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the criminal offense of organized crime under Article 342, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in connection with the criminal offenses of forgery of documents under Article 373, paragraph 2 in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the FBiH, and the criminal offense of certifying false content under Article 375, paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code of the FBiH.

In accordance with the agreement, the prosecutor and the defendant have agreed that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina shall impose on the defendant a prison sentence of two (2) years and six (6) months, and that, pursuant to Article 74 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the items used in the commission of the criminal offense, including mobile phones, shall be confiscated.

The proposed sentence is consistent with the defendant's role in the committed criminal offense.

The defendant confirms that he is familiar with the content of the agreement and simultaneously confirms that he gives the statement of guilt voluntarily, consciously, and with understanding, and undertakes to cover the costs of the criminal proceedings in the amount that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina may eventually determine.

By concluding the agreement, the defendant waives the right to trial and the right to appeal the judgment that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will render based on the agreement.

The agreement has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
