Farewell letter posted on FB: Search for missing mother and child

After the search for Ivana and Patrik Fogadić was interrupted last night due to darkness, it continued today, they confirmed for Dnevnik.hr at the Međimurje Police Department, reports the Patria News Agency.

Three police officers with one boat are searching the accumulation lake of the Orehovica hydroelectric power plant. Yesterday, the area along the left bank of the Drava River from Trnovec to Orehovica and from Orehovica to Otok was searched.

The husband of the missing Ivana, Valentin Fogadić, along with his sister Renata and brother Robert, is searching the area for the missing Ivana and Patrik. Renata came from Požega, and Robert from Slavonski Brod, to help their brother Valentin, who is a bomb disposal technician.

The last recorded mobile phone location is near Orehovica. However, the transmitter that captured the location also covers the area on the other side of the Drava River, and when you add the numerous paths between the old Drava riverbed and the diversion channel, as well as all the fields and forests towards Totovec, the area to be covered is indeed large and overgrown, writes međimurje.hr.

Ivana disappeared with her 5-year-old son Patrik on the night between Sunday and Monday from their family home. They left in an Opel Astra, blue color, license plate ČK 783-GC, in an unknown direction. Ivana is about 170 cm tall, of slight build, with short chestnut hair, while Patrik is about 120 cm tall, also of slight build and with short chestnut hair, according to the statement from the Međimurje Police Department.
