Caution Drivers: Dense Fog, Wet and Slippery Road Surface in Places

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Dense fog reduces visibility in the wider area of Sarajevo, Visoko, Kakanj, Kiseljak, Vitez, Konjic, Jablanica, Prozor/Rama, Kupres, Glamoč, as well as the valleys of the Sava, Vrbas, Drina and Spreča rivers. In areas with fog, the road surface is wet and slippery in places. 

"We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution on all routes and to maintain a safe distance between vehicles. We also draw attention to frequent rockfalls on the road," BIHAMK stated. 

On the Vrbaška-Draksenić road (the route leading to the Gradina border crossing), traffic is suspended for all categories of vehicles (except vehicles delivering goods within the municipality, local residents, and emergency vehicles), and the alternative route is via Banja Luka and Prijedor.

On the main road Tuzla-Kalesija (due to works in the Čaklovići tunnel), traffic is suspended from 10 PM to 6 AM and diverted to the alternative route via Dubrave. During the day, passenger vehicles from the direction of Tuzla travel through the tunnel, while from the direction of Kalesija they use the bypass around the tunnel. Freight vehicles are also directed to the road via Dubrave during the day.

On the A-1 motorway section Podlugovi-Sarajevo north, due to rehabilitation works on the bridge, traffic flows in both directions using the opposite lane from the work zone. 

Due to works in the Skela tunnel, on the main road Jajce-Donji Vakuf, traffic alternates using one lane during the day, while at night (10 PM - 6 AM) traffic is suspended and diverted to the bypass around the tunnel (the circle of the Metaling factory).

Traffic is slowed due to works on the following routes: Konjic-Jablanica (Crnaja tunnel), Kladanj-Tuzla (near the quarry in Stupari), Nemila-Žepče (Želeće), Doboj-Gračanica (in Klokotnica),  Grude-Ljubuški (at the exit from Grude) and Stolac-Hutovo (in the village of Cerovica).

Due to numerous rockfalls and the risk of landslides on the main road Brod na Drini-GP Hum/Šćepan Polje, passenger vehicles travel with difficulty, while traffic for freight vehicles is suspended.

At border crossings, waiting times are short.
