Caution on roads in BiH due to ice and wind

Low temperatures this morning are conducive to the formation of ice on all wet locations, especially on sections in higher areas, on bridges and approaches to tunnels, BIHAMK announced, writes Patria. 

There is packed snow or ice on the road in places on the main roads M-19 Han Pijesak-Vlasenica (Han Pogled), M-18 Trnovo-Foča (Rogoj), M-5 Vrtoče-Bosanski Petrovac-Ključ and M-14.2 Bosanski Petrovac-Drvar (Oštrelj), as well as in the wider area of Romanija, BIHAMK announced.

- On the main roads Glamoč-Mlinište and Kupres-Šuica-Tomislavgrad-Kolo, strong winds are blowing snow onto the road in some sections, so we advise cautious driving. We also draw attention to frequent minor landslides. All roads are passable, and we remind drivers not to set off without winter equipment, the possession of which is legally mandatory on roads in BiH. In the southern regions, traffic is mostly on dry roads, and on some sections, we warn of stronger gusts of wind. 

There are no long waits at border crossings this morning, and larger crowds are expected during the day. 

Works in Croatia are still ongoing at the border crossings Bosanski Brod-Slavonski Brod and Orašje-Županja, so traffic is slow at these crossings during the day.
